Description

• Maintains boiler systems, overseeing maintenance, enforcing safety protocols, and adjusting controls.

Key Responsibilities

• To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and employees
• Be willing to train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own.
• Checking the efficiency of the heating system and thermostats.
• Observation and recording of pressure gauge and meter readings.
• Adjusting the fuel and fluid levels of the boiler.
• Inspection of boilers, pipes and valves for leaks and malfunctions.
• Periodic cleaning of the ducts and elimination of limescale or other corrosive deposits.
• Repair of the boiler, water treatment equipment or storage tanks.
• Install replacement parts of the boiler in case of failure, including pipes and heating elements.
• Detect emissions generated by combustion.
• Keeping of routine boiler maintenance records.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel’s Employee rules & regulations.
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
• Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

Desired Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Relevant certification by a recognized organisation
• Very good knowledge of building equipment: heating, operation
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
• Computer literacy adapted to the field of training
