    Human Resource Manager

    Job objective

    Responsible for providing direction to the Human Resource department and enforcing company policies and practices. The position is also responsible for providing Human Resource advice and assistance to managers and employees on human resources policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To develop and update new and existing human resources policies, procedures and manuals
    • Serve as a link between management and employees by interpreting policies and helping resolve work related issues
    • Support in the execution of human resource strategy
    • Manage the organization’s recruitment and selection processes to support current and future organizational needs
    • Participate in the interviewing process to fill vacant positions
    • Plan and on-board new employees into the organization culture and value objectives
    • Provide employees with information on company policies and working conditions
    • Handle employee complaints, manage grievance procedures, facilitate and conduct employee counselling and mentoring sessions
    • Carry out administrative duties supporting various Human Resources processes
    • Maintain, analyze, issue and update employee job descriptions
    • Maintain staff records and compile statistical reports concerning human resources metrics
    • Manage staff separation process including conducting exit interviews
    • Keep abreast with changes in the labour legislations
    • Participate in both internal and external system and compliance audits

    Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
    • Certified Human Resource Professional Kenya (CHRP(K)
    • At least six (6) years’ experience in human resource management
    • Knowledge in labour laws
    • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
    • Data analytics skills
    • Proficiency in MS packages
    • Leadership and people management skills.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships
    • Decision making and problem solving skills
    • Analytical thinker with strong negotiation, influencing and organisation skills

    Quality Assurance Manager

    Job objective

    • Responsible for leading the Quality Assurance activities; establishing best practices and driving food safety systems by developing, implementing and maintaining the factory's Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, standard operating procedures and regulatory programmes.

    Key responsibilities

    • Provide support to the organisation in undertaking quality improvement projects.
    • Participate in review meetings aimed at delivery of quality safe products and risk management. Verification of all products and inputs to ensure they are authorized and conforming to company requirements before release
    • Verify the food safety capabilities, practices and execution of food safety procedures
    •  Ensure that the quality and food safety management system is functioning properly throughout the organisation
    •  Validate, verify and evaluate the effectiveness of the quality and food safety plans in place
    • Link with external bodies and regulatory agents in ensuring that the quality standards are well maintained and that the company complies to national and international standards
    • Represent the company in regulatory bodies technical committees and external quality forums and there- after provide feedback to management
    • Review consumer complaints, lead in root cause analysis and carry out corrective actions
    • Participate in problem solving and decision making with regards to quality matters
    • Conduct periodic market visits to help maintain the quality standards
    • Carry out good manufacturing practice audits evaluation and provide recomendations on areas of improvement.
    • Participate in new projects and facilitate change management to foster quality standards
    • Review and verify raw materials, products, ingredients and chemical specifications sheets
    • Train and develop employees on aspects of Quality Assurance requirements
    • Generate required quality performance reports

    Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or Dairy Technology with at least 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing concern
    • Knowledge of quality and food safety standards
    • (QMS, FSMS, FSSC, ISO 17025)

    Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements

    • Ability to undertake research
    • Leadership, organizational and planning skills
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills
    •  Maintain effective working relations with regulatory authorities, third party audit firms, internal stakeholders and customers
    • Report writing and presentation skills
    • Interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships

    Section Manager - Technical

    Job Objective

    • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair activities. Undertake technical functions of the section as may be assigned to ensure optimal equipment and infrastructure availability to support manufacturing.

    Key responsibilities

    • Oversee technical activities including predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance
    • Supervise utility operations to support production
    • Plan and coordinate staff resources to cover scheduled technical work
    • Provide technical support to cold chain storage
    • Provide technical support for all product handling equipment including forklifts, pallet trucks, VNAs and lifting trucks.
    •  Assist the Technical Manager in spare parts inventory management and ordering process  Manage contractors'/service providers working in the section
    •  Ensure all hygiene standards are maintained at all times within the section
    • Efficiently communicate section concerns with management for prompt action
    •  Conduct process inspections aimed at minimizing or eliminating machine down time
    •  Document all sectional technical records
    •  Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly reports for management decision making

    Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills

    •  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
    •  At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing or factory setting
    • Knowledge in dairy processing equipment maintenance
    • Decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Resource mobilization skills
    • Ability to assess risk and address health, safety and environmental threats
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • People management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
