    Laundry Attendant

    As a Laundry Attendant, your care and attention to detail in your daily operations will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel laundry - you will take pride in the role you play facilitating a memorable guest stay.

    Summary Of Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, Laundry Attendant, responsibilties and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Carry out various functions with in the Laundry department
    • Sort soiled linen, label and make ready for washing
    • Operate towel folders as required
    • Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen
    • Load / unload washing machines and dryers as required
    • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
    • Report necessary maintenance items
    • Following all safety and sanitation policies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in laundry operations is an asset
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

    Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
    • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
    • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
    • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

    Room Attendant

    Job description

    Summary Of Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, Room Attendant, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Clean all assigned guest tents including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
    • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
    • Update and record all cleaned rooms
    • Return and properly tag all lost and found items in the Housekeeping Office
    • Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
    • Report necessary maintenance items
    • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Previous housekeeping experience an asset
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision

    Assistant Head Driver Guide

    Job description

    Summary Of Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Manager Position Title, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

    • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
    • Tailor the interaction based on service sequence or comment instead of waiting for guest to initiate an obvious service
    • Provide warm and sincere closing at completion of service and offer any further assistance before leaving the guest
    • In charge of other driver/guides in the absence of the head/driver guide
    • Greet guests by name immediately with eye contact, a smile and genuine personal touch.
    • Ensure the vehicles allocated to other guides are clean are all clean, reporting all defects in time.
    • Drive within the guidelines and laws of the country and park.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience is an asset
    • Clean driving license free of accidents
    • Foreign language is an added advantage
    • Bronze medal holder from Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association
    • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to ):
    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift

    Food & Beverage Supervisor

    Job description

    Summary Of Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Manager Position Title, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
    • Organize and conduct daily pre-shift meetings communicating pertinent information to the colleagues.
    • Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
    • Train and direct staff in all food and beverage operations according to Fairmont Standards.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels of wines, other beverages and supplies.
    • Set-up and train employees on wines, other beverages and supplies
    • Conformance to Fairmont standards of dress and personal appearance as required.
      continuously move throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food and beverage quality and service standards are met.
    • Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solution.
    • Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience is an asset
    • Minimum 1 year experience in F & B preferably at a Luxury Property
    • An operational knowledge and proficiency n point of Sales system an asset
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong guest service orientation
    • Ability to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service.

    Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to live and work in Kenya.
