    Transport Supervisor

    Location: Meru, Kenya.

    Overall Objective: To plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the transportation operations within the site and any other transport services activities.

    Roles & Responsibility:

    • Ensuring all vehicles are in good working order to ensure all jobs are achieved as required on a daily basis
    • Advice and direct activities related to transport on site
    • Coordinate with our industrial Plot on repairs for the vehicles; ensure the maintenance and repair schedule is shared with the Project Manager
    • Ensuring all the insurances for the vehicles at site are up to date
    • In liaison with the Project Manager, report all accidents and incidents involving site vehicles
    • Ensuring the vehicles have the required permits and  licenses
    • Organize and manage the work to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with company’s requirements
    Qualifications:
    • Diploma in Logistics and Fleet Management
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field
    Soft Skills
    • Possess good supervisory skills

    Vehicle Inspection Officer

    Roles & Responsibility:

    • Carry out motor vehicle inspection to assess road worthiness in accordance with the safety standards and policies
    • Carry out vehicle mechanical inspection to assess compliance with road safety requirements.
    • Keep records of vehicle inspection reports
    • Prepare inspection certificates for certified vehicles
    • Schedule vehicles for inspection
    • Prepare corrective action reports for vehicles that do not meet safety requirements
    • Assess motor vehicle service and maintenance records
    • Conducts vehicle troubleshooting to identify any likely faults
    Educational Qualifications
    • Diploma holder in Auto Mechanical Engineering
    • Should have at least 5 years’ working experience
    • Having worked in the jua – kali sector is an added advantage
    • Certificate in Auto-electrical is an added advantage
    • Valid Driving license
    Skills
    • Computer literacy is a must
    • Should have experience with trucks, trailers and prime movers
    • Should know how to work with parts catalogue
    • Should be proficient with computers packages
    • Should be able to work under minimum supervision

    HR & Administration Officer

    Overall Objective: The position holder is required to provide HR Operational support to the organisation.

    Roles & Responsibility:

    • Provides candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; notifying existing staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records; obtaining temporary staff from agencies
    • Conducting orientation sessions for staff
    • Carrying out the deployment process for new hires.
    • Conducting exit interviews for staff
    • Manage the staff clearance process
    • Updating employee contracts
    • Providing payroll information by collecting time and attendance records
    • Submitting employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data
    • Maintaining employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
    • Drafting corresponding letters for approval by the human resources manager.
    • Maintaining employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
    Educational Qualifications
    • Must have a minimum of Higher diploma in Human Resource Management
    • 2 -3 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Experience working in mid-large sized companies with over 1000 employees
    • Proven experience in Recruitment and contracts management.
    • Must be registered with IHRM
    Skills
    • Maintaining quality service by following organization standards
    • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    • Effective written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports
    • Possess high sense of integrity and confidentiality

    Site Administrator

    Location: Garsen, Kenya.

    Overall Objective: The position holder is required to play a supportive role to the Project Manager in the areas of administration, HR and accounting at our construction site in Garsen.

    Roles & Responsibility:

    Accounting Function
    • Administering of petty cash on site in liaison with the Project Manager
    • Follow up on certificates from the Resident Engineer to be received by the head office.
    Administrative Function
    • Following up on required site Licenses and reporting to Head Office
    • Ensuring availability of general accommodation for senior staff and communicating with Head office.
    HR Function
    • Assist the Project Manager in handling labour issues at site.
    • Overseeing of Manpower at site in terms of managing attendance, time cards and overtime and reporting the same to payroll.
    • Together with the Project Manager, and authorisation from the Regional Roads Projects Manager assessing the labour on site thus hiring and terminating.
    • Providing Head Office with termination notices of staff at site.
    • Handling Employments of labour intensive positions at site.
    • Providing statutory documentation of staff to Head Office for payroll processing.
    • Providing Head Office with relevant and up to date information on staff welfare.
    • Management of the Resident Engineer notices of staff engagements and terminations
    • Reporting of disciplinary issues to the management
    • Fleet Management of vehicles of site
    Educational Qualifications
    • Must have a minimum of a diploma in business administration.
    • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Experience in an administrative role that includes financial and Administration matters.
    • Experience working in construction site is an added advantage.
    Skills
    • Excellent organisation skills
    • Effective written communication skills.
    • Possess high sense of integrity.
