    Meeting &Events Sales Manager

    Tasks, Duties And Responsibilities

    • Plans for, and carries out work in accordance with the Meetings & Events Promises
    • Achieves budgeted goals by executing activities within assigned market segments
    • Achieves numerous business lead appointments per week
    • Assists in the development of annual sales goals
    • Prepares offers & contracts in line with the hotel's Meetings & Events Promises
    • Communicating and planning with the meetings & events operations team to ensure high quality standards are maintained
    • Utilising guest feedback developing services and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
    • Maximising hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by ensuring accurate and effective processing of conference bookings, private functions and weddings.
    • Assists in the completion of monthly reports
    • Maintains effective correspondence
    • Meets budgeted sales and profit margin for group business, by offering, selling and confirming business rates as required
    • Develops data and recommends programmes to meet client’s needs
    • Updates all activities on salesforce.com as per company standards and maintains good records post appointment
    • Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales and Marketing that are geared to maximise profit while satisfying guest needs
    • Displays consultative and value-added approach to selling
    • Keeps track of files on a timely basis to confirm business
    • Uses pro-active sales calls to find and develop new sales leads
    • Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment as required
    • Communicates guest’s requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
    • Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan
    • Develops plans, special sales activities and promotions in a clearly targeted way
    • Conducts market analysis to determine business needs, occupancy potential and desired rates
    • Attends Radisson BLU Sales Blitz and trade shows in key market cities to develop new business and to contact established clients in these cities
    • Communicates requests for special accommodations and suites
    • Prepares accurate forecasts as requested
    • Accurately pre-blocks all special requests or VIP accommodation
    • Communicates with Front Office Manager all group VIPs for appropriate treatment
    • Follows up on commissions and other fees paid to travel agencies to ensure timely billing and payment
    • Promotes Rezidor Hotel Group Hotels where additional business is discovered and refers business in a timely manner
    • Completes activity report and monthly target report for month end revenue meeting as stipulated by Director of Sales

    MANAGING MEETINGS & EVENTS SALES STAFF

    • Manages meetings & events sales team members
    • Utilises leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction
    • Challenges team members within department to achieve optimum revenue and service standards
    • Monitors department’s overall service, interaction with other departments and team work daily, and acts to improve
