    Painter (Pre-Opening)

    Job Description

    This position is responsible for all painting and decoration works including varnishing on the property

    • Able to clean and touch up painted surfaces as well as carry out minor wallpaper repairs
    • Able to patch and paint interior and exterior surfaces, caulk and grout
    • Able to repair and refinish woodwork
    • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance of painting and decoration works in the waterpark
    • Maintain brushes and rollers in good condition
    • Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
    • Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
    • Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance work performed while on duty, paper and electronic
    • Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order requests for items needed
    • Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
    • Report all potential hazards, safety concerns, and accidents immediately 
    • Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments

    Qualifications

    • Trade test 1 qualification
    • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Painter
    • The ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications and make rough estimates of required materials
    • Good communication skills
    • Physical ability to perform the assigned duties
    • Must be a self-starter, who can work independently and will take initiative

    HVAC Technician (Pre-Opening)

    Job Description

    • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
    • Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
    • Respond promptly to guest requests and internal work orders related to HVAC issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
    • Collaborate with other members of the Engineering Team to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and service reports.
    • Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to HVAC systems, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to HVAC infrastructure.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other hotel staff as needed.

    Qualifications

    MICE Manager (Pre-Opening)

    Job Description

    We are looking for a FUN, PASSIONATE & EXTROVERTED MICE Manager who wants to join our team!

    You will be lead the Meetings & Events team to achieve maximum revenue and client relationships, through effective and efficient sales techniques and strategies-providing excellent customer service at all times to all customers

    • In this role, you will lead in planning and executing meetings, events, and conferences from start to finish.
    • You will work closely with our clients, agents, and team members to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of all aspects of the event.
    • This role requires proven record of accomplishment in event management.
    • Your role will include managing and directing all aspects of the Meeting & Events Sales department including leading, developing and motivating a high-performing team ensuring the department meets and exceeds the budget and maximizes the conference and events revenue and profit, through active selling and commercial management techniques.
    • Diary Management to ensure the Business on the Books is the most profitable for the hotel
    • To establish yielding policies for optimizing meeting space with F&B, Sales & Revenue Management
    • To co-ordinate meeting organiser and client show rounds to hotel
    • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with promptly and in line with Accor standards
    • Set daily/weekly targets for the team
    • To proactively phone existing clients for repeat business
    • To participate in the weekly/monthly revenue meetings, ensuring agreed outputs & activities take “total revenue” into consideration
    • To monitor & share revenue trends to support revenue driving/maximizing actions This includes forecasts, channel delivery, pace, market segments, Conference measures
    • Competitor board spotting
    • To participate in client events in the hotel in conjunction with sales department
    • To co-ordinate and implement any conference or promotional offers within the conference/meeting/events market in line with hotel strategy
    • To recruit, induct and train employees in a systematic process and professional way to meet the needs of the business. Develop training plans for each team member

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Sales & Marketing) or related field
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a hotel with high volumes of conferencing business
    • Highly organised, creative and driven
    • Driven towards maximising sales and meeting departmental budgets
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
    • Administration and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to network and build strong professional relationships
    • Attention to detail
    • Use of OPERA Cloud is preferable
