    Specialist Welder

     Responsibilities

    • Welding, repair, rebuilding and fabrication of aluminium, cast-iron, stainless steel and mild steel products.
    • Sheet metal fabrication
    • Drawing and designing sheet metal and structural drawings
    • Interpreting engineering drawings
    • Handling workshop processes of; fabrication, precision fitting, machining and pipe fitting.
    • Operation, repair and maintenance of welding machines which includes; TIG, MIG, ARC. Gas welding and cutting sets, etc.

    • Operation of CNC welding and cutting machines

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Holder of diploma in mechanical engineering specializing on welding & fabrication of from a reputable institution, or final craft certificate and demonstrated experience may apply
    • Over 5 years of sound continuous and detailed experience in welding in terms of SMAW, TIG, MIG, ARC and gas welding relative to aluminium, cast-iron, alloys and stainless steel among others.
    • Conversant with using hot work permits, JSA and all applicable occupational health and safety procedures

    Quality Assurance in Charge

    Responsibilities

    Successful candidate will be responsible for;

    • Developing, directs, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program for staff involved in the collection and analysis of samples.
    • Establishing, coordinates, and monitors the laboratory quality system; works closely with section supervisors to plan, schedule, and implement Quality Assurance.
    • Ensure general compliance with all relevant procedures and systems relative to the agri-hub operations.
    • Coordinates laboratory performance testing using samples provided by commercial agencies.
    • Oversee collection of samples, analysis of product to determine quality compliance before they are received and stored.
    • Responsible for ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality set by the company.
    • Prepares reports, compiles and maintains records on product quality status, and all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
    • Perform testing in accordance with Standard General’s Quality Control System
    • Composes, reviews and follows up on external communications with the external laboratory service provider.
    • Provide recommendations on procedures, standards and equipment to maintain product quality of the product.
    • Ensure correct quality process is followed and ensure training given quickly where necessary.
    • Conduct monthly inventory of chemicals, reagents, solutions, and other supplies and equipment essential to laboratory operation.
    • Clean, sterilize, calibrate and maintain equipment and apparatus used in all tests and analysis.
    • Assist the Production Supervisor with hands on operational activities when needed, ensuring production requirements are met.
    • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
    • Analysis of test data and corrective action to prevent non-conforming products.
    • Help in documentation and Data Control.
    • Ensure Care and Maintenance of testing equipment including calibration.
    • In charge of the factory permits, compliance and certification.
    • Ensure general compliance with all procedures and systems related to general Agri-hub operations.
    • In charge of the audit management.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned his/her manager.

    Qualifications

    • BSC /Diploma In Analytical Chemistry, process/chemical engineering or any other relevant field. Fluent knowledge of English
    • 3-5 yrs. experience as QA preferably in vegetable oil extraction plant.

      Responsibilities 

    • Receiving and coordinating the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of raw materials in a timely and efficient manner.

    Transport/Logistics Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Assist Logistic supervisor in day to day operation of the transport department.
    • Formulate and implement strategies, plans and policies in relation to the logistics/transport department
    • Foresee and mitigate all risks attendant with logistics and supply chain.

    • Identify, establish and maintain appropriate fleet management software.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete the weight slip entry in the weighbridge system efficiently.
    • Ensure that all deliveries have relevant documentation.
    • Accurate and prompt capturing of all receipts loads over the weighbridge.

    Dispatch Clerk

    Responsibilities

    • Manage accurate and efficient stock transfers during loading of trucks from the loading bay
    • Receive and prepare work orders, monitor jobs in progress and inform personnel about any logistic problems.
    • Monitor stock movement into the trucks, verify load and documentation, and then sign off with the driver and security
