    Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST) is a private, women’s only Kenyan university from inception to operation. It is the first university of its kind in Eastern and Southern Africa which comprise 23 countries in total. As a women’s only university, our main objective is to bridge the gap in gender representation in higher education as well as contributing to the social and economic development of the country. The institution was founded on 15th May 2002 through the issuance of a Letter of Interim Authority (LIA) by the Government of Kenya through the Commission for Higher Education.     Procurement Officer

    Qualifications for the Procurement Officer Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in procurement and supplies from a recognized University
    • Proven work experience of at least five (5) years as a Procurement Officer In an institution of higher learning or a reputable organization.
    • He/she should demonstrate strong ability of processing purchase requisitions, inviting, assessing and awarding/recommending

    Receptionist

    Qualifications for the Receptionist Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration or Its equivalent from a recognized University
    • Proven work experience of at least five (5) years as a receptionist or similar role in an institution of higher learning or a reputable organization.
    • He/she should have experience with telephone operation, front office management, customer service, office equipment and should be computer literate.

    Skills

    • He/she should have solid written and verbal communication skills,
    • Professional attitude and appearance,
    • Excellent organizational skills,
    • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when Issues arise and ability to multitask.
    • Additional certification in office management is a plus.

    Assistant Maintenance Officer

    Qualifications for the Assistant Maintenance Officer Job

    • Diploma certificate or Bachelor’s degree in building and constructions or its equivalent from a recognized University/institution of higher learning
    • Proven work experience of at least five (5) years as a maintenance officer or similar role in any recognized institution.
    • He/she should be capable of coordinating maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, ventilation and other building systems.
    • Additionally, he/she should be able to develop and implement maintenance procedures for the institution and handle the upkeep and repair work in the university buildings.
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations will be an added advantage.

    Computer Technician

    Qualifications for the Computer Technician Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer Science from a recognized University
    • Proven work experience of at least three (3) years as a Computer Technician or similar role in an institution of higher learning or a reputable organization.
    • He/she should have experience with LAN/WAN networks,
    • Thorough Knowledge of computer systems and IT components,
    • Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles,
    • Excellent trouble shooting skills, manage servers, IPs and other components among other requirements.

    Academic Administrative Officer

    Qualifications for the Academic Administrative Officer Job

    • Master’s degree in Office Administration/ Business Administration/Commerce from a recognized University
    • Proven work experience of at least five (5) years as an Administrative officer in an institution of higher learning.
    • He/she should have Knowledge of the administrative role of an Institution of higher learning including office management systems and procedures,
    • Working knowledge of office equipment,
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite
    • Strong computer skills,
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work,
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills,
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
    • Additionally he/she should be able to prepare regularly scheduled reports and maintain a filing system
