    HR & Operations Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement HR and operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
    • Develop and implement performance management systems across the organization.
    • Oversee employee relations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and statutory requirements across operating countries.
    • Develop HR policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
    • Lead compensation, benefits, and reward management programs.
    • Coordinate learning, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
    • Monitor employee engagement and organizational culture improvement programs.
    • Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
    • Develop and monitor operational KPIs and performance dashboards.
    • Streamline operational processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
    • Manage organizational budgets relating to HR and operations.
    • Coordinate procurement and administration functions where applicable.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
    • Oversee fleet, facilities, and office administration functions.
    • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Lead business continuity and operational improvement initiatives.
    • Prepare periodic management reports and strategic recommendations.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders across Eastern Africa.
    • Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational objectives.

    Skills & Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
    • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 8 years' progressive experience in HR and Operations Management, with at least 3 years in senior management.
    • Experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, or regional operations is highly preferred.
    • Professional HR certification such as CHRP(K), IHRM, CIPD, or equivalent.
    • Strong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices across East Africa.
    • Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong financial and operational management skills.
    • Experience implementing HRIS and ERP systems.
    • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

    Onsite Operations Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the daily operations of all hotel departments.
    • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service delivery.
    • Supervise Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, and Guest Relations teams.
    • Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and enforce operational policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and hospitality regulations.
    • Coordinate departmental activities to ensure seamless guest experiences.
    • Monitor occupancy, revenue performance, and operational costs.
    • Prepare operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
    • Manage supplier relationships and operational procurement requirements.
    • Resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly.
    • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of hotel assets and equipment.
    • Lead recruitment, staff scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
    • Conduct departmental meetings and operational briefings.
    • Drive service quality improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor inventory levels and operational supplies.
    • Prepare operational reports for senior management.
    • Support marketing, events, and business development activities to increase occupancy and revenue.
    • Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Skills & Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
    • Experience working in a luxury hotel or resort environment is mandatory.
    • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality standards.
    • Experience managing multi-department hotel operations.
    • Strong financial and budget management skills.
    • Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS).
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Strong customer service and guest relations experience.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
