Position Overview: The Marketing Growth Manager’s role is critical in accelerating acquisition of consumers in the Cellulant ecosystem, driving general customer growth and engagement across key acquisition channels: online, offline and partnerships.
You are primarily tasked with defining and refining Cellulant’s growth plan as it refers to consumers, coordinating and executing growth programs and optimising customer engagement, retention and conversion rates at key consumer touch points.
As the Marketing Growth Manager, your serve the role of providing product marketing and marketing automation support to both group and country teams.
You are required to understand marketing technology, and platforms; delivering end to end product go-to-market plans. You will add value to the company through monitoring company growth positioning both on brand and product levels.
You are essentially a high-level manager with both strategic planning and implementation functions.

Job Summary: The marketing manager will be responsible for the growth of our consumer facing products in the market and for the growth of the corporate brand in the market
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create the country’s product marketing strategy in partnership with the country manager, group chief of brand, group marketing growth manager, and the group chief product officer
2. Execute the product marketing strategy to ensure that targets are consistently met and surpassed. This will require:
2.1. Coordinating different parts of the business towards the same goal, including the following practices: service management & operations, business development, and product development
2.2. Personally doing as much of the marketing work, preferably digital marketing but also possibly public relations (PR), field sales, and any other marketing means which we decide to use
2.3. Managing any external partners towards accomplishment of the same goals, including any agencies we decide to hire, and any media partners including for digital media(e.g. Google), and traditional media (e.g. TV)
3. Serve as a brand & marketing liaison for the country, and execute country-specific programs that drive brand relevance including by implementing strong in-country marketing and communications plans, so as to strengthen Cellulant’s product and corporate brand identities in the market.
Personal Profile
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of customer acquisition experience for technology products in Kenya
• Experience with new media and traditional marketing, utilizing Above the Line and Below the Line media
• Fluency with marketing analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and
• Enterprise Marketing Management platforms
• Strong project management experience
• Able to hold have a good conversation with the Queen in English, and write letters to he/ she would enjoy reading; wouldn't embarrass herself / himself having a conversation in Swahili with a Mombasa native

1. Selling Cellulant proposition banks
a. Write and make sales presentations based on provided templates to bank executives.
b. Write comprehensive proposals based on provided templates and present these to bank executives.
c. Manage the sale through and across the multi-faceted interests and influences of executives of a target bank’s various business and functional units to ensure buy-in and support across the various bank units.
d. Negotiate favorable commercial terms for Cellulant based on Cellulant’s commercial policy for the types of transactional services being provided.
e. Draft contract documentation based on provided templates.
2. Be Cellulant’s principal Project Board representative during implementation of bank projects to ensure focus on business value and delivery of the project within tight deadlines and planned cost constraints.
3. After sales senior level business relationship for the following purposes:
a. Evaluate the initial realization of the value for money objective, for both the Bank and Cellulant that motivated entering in to the solution and commercial agreement. This evaluation is to be performed during the first three months, and the three months after that, to include the following:
b. Revenue protection: Stay alert to potential threats to Cellulant’s business with a bank customer – for example, encroachment by competition via new products, innovations and substitutes – with the potential to undermine Cellulant’s business relationship with the client.
c. Keep abreast of general innovations and the evolving business needs of the bank in the digital banking space and also of Cellulant’s evolving products and services and, in line with Cellulant’s strategy, instigate the development of substantial revenue opportunities with the bank that are aligned to the matching Cellulant’s products and services of the day, or to Cellulant’s potential capabilities.
d. Develop and drive digital banking strategy with your cluster of banks
e. Build and maintain strong and trustworthy relationships with key customer at management level (e.g. Channel manager; Product manager) to establish Cellulant as the partner of choice for mobile commerce.
f. Bring in market insights and key customers long term needs regarding m- commerce
4. The acquired knowledge about the banks goals and objectives, Cellulant's solution to help meet the banks and Cellulant's objectives, the internal workings and relationships of the bank's multi-faceted units and the intimate details of the contract make the sales person best suited to carry on with the functions of after sales bank engagement.
5. Leading & Capacity building a) Build, lead and mentor one of the digital banking teams to sell, roll out and support digital banking services to banks. b) Improve quality, productivity and efficiency to ensure costs are in line with budget plans.
6. Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
