    Custody Services Relationship Manager

    Job Details

    Reporting to the Senior Manager Custody Services, this role exists to retain existing and continuously source for new business to support growth of custody services portfolio, diversification of products and services for existing and new clients and to carry out market research for targeted sales and services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •    Acquisition of new business through sourcing, expand wallet size and retain existing client relationships so as to increase market share and profitability.
    •    Ensure customer satisfaction, retention and identification of repeat and new business opportunities.
    •    Responsible for management & diversification of portfolio for existing clients through continuous reviews and identification of client needs.
    •    To attend client meetings and visits i.e. Annual General Meetings (AGM) and Board of Trustees. Meetings (BOT) and new business meeting/presentations as delegated by Line       Manager.
    •    Provide service to customers with regard to account information, questions and problems resolution with specialized units.
    •    Contract review and negotiation with current and potential clients in conjunction with stakeholder units.
    •    Research and knowledge gathering on global custody services opportunities for targeted sales.
    •    Source and prepare tenders for the RFP process of any potential business opportunity.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following minimum requirements:

    •    A Bachelors’ degree from a recognized institution in a business or social sciences related field.
    •    2 years’ experience in Banking with at least 2 years’ experience in sales, customer service, banking operations. Prior experience in a custody services related role is an added           advantage.
    •    Demonstrable leadership skills and strong governance awareness.
    •    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to network and develop internal and external business relationships.
    •    A proven track record in delivering results.

    Alternative Channels Manager

    Job Details

    Reporting to the Senior Manager Personal Banking & Channels, the jobholder is responsible for  implementing business strategies for Agency Banking, Money Transfer Services (MTS), Mobile Banking and Cards Businesses through rollout to market and business growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •    Formulate and execute Agency Banking, MTS, Mobile Banking and Cards Business strategies in line with the Bank Business Strategic Plan.
    •    Take lead in co-ordination of regular business improvement plans and projects for initiatives under department.
    •    Recruitment and management of Agents in compliance with the set Agent selection criteria and ensuring customer usage of Iwacu Agents outlets and sub-agents for MTS.
    •    Own monitoring of channels availability and performance to ensure high levels of customers’ satisfaction.

    •    Drive new innovations to support non-traditional services to support credit application and loan repayments.

    I.T. Applications & Software Development Manager

    Job Details

    Reporting to the Head of IT KCB Bank Rwanda, the role holder will be responsible for designing, developing, installing and maintaining software solutions for digital products, various business unit’s applications and interfaces.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •    Assists the Head of IT in dealing with matters relating to digital solutions, business applications such as Internet banking, Mobile banking, Interfaces etc.
    •    Initiate and administers the control parameters of the Banks applications systems
    •    Administers all applications database such as MSSQL, Oracle and MySQL
    •    Evaluate technologies, drive consensus, create proof-of-concept and frameworks
    •    Architect, Design & Develop Security & integration components for data extraction, & internal /external application integration
    •    Collaborate with Security, Development, Infrastructure & Service delivery team to develop secured frameworks components and applications
    •    Work with Dev-Ops team to create monitoring & operational management tools for platform components
    •    Design and develop data administration web interfaces for data management

    The Person:

    For the above position, the applicant should possess the following:

    •    University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

    •    4 years of Development experience in a Cross-platform, multi-tier environment
    •    Knowledge and experience of programming language such as Lisp, PHP, Perl, Python and/or Java, API Development.
    •    Proven and Demonstrable track record of development of digital products and solutions.
    •    Open source framework experience such as Struts, Spring, Caster, Quartz, DWR, JQuery
    •    Message based application development using JMS, MQ Series/Rabbit MQ.

    •    Experience in integrating with third party APIs
    •    Knowledge in Administration of application server (WebSphere, TC Server) and MQ Series
    •    In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle.
    •    Relational database and SQL development experience
    •    Development experience using RAD/Eclipse tool
    •    Banking Experience would be an advantage
    •    Mobile development knowledge would be an advantage

    Manager, Credit Recoveries

    Job Details

    Reporting to the Head of IT KCB Bank Rwanda, the role holder will manage, identify, review and recover or restructure/restore to performance non-performing debts and make appropriate recommendations to avoid recurrence in an effort to mitigate credit risks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •    To recover or restore to performance the greatest amounts of non-performing debts, at the shortest time possible and at least cost.
    •    To reduce the Bank’s level of non-performing debts.
    •    To enhance the Bank’s overall image through improved relations with bad debtors and ensure customers are satisfied through timely responses to issues.
    •    Give recommendations to line management on issues of debt recovery including disposal of securities, litigation, final settlement etc.
    •    Ensure costs are reduced through management of service providers and economic use of utilities.
    •    Make recommendations on restructuring of debts, full and final settlement requests, write offs and write-downs.
    •    To review of debtors files, feedback of clients visits, monthly performance in order to reduce NPL Portfolio.
    •    Partner with legal unit and lawyers for efficient and effective resolution of matters in court.

    Minimum position requirements:

    Corporate Relationship Officer

    Job Details

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Banking, and the role holder will work with Relationship Managers in daily management of assigned portfolio of account by providing credit analysis, credit portfolio monitoring, transactional banking services and related activities associated with the assigned portfolio of accounts in order to increase financial returns.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Providing an interface between the Bank, existing and prospective customers in order to maintain good customer relations, so as to meet customer needs within the strategic objective of the Bank.
    • Overseeing the relationship management of assigned customers through maintenance of an effective call program and accompanying the RM on clients’ visits and file a call report.
    • Attend to queries/routine correspondence emanating from Customers, Credit Administration, Security Documentation, Risk Control, Branches etc.
    • Manage the portfolio in liaison with the Relationship Manager and in their absence, assume full responsibility of the assigned portfolio. Prepare and submit credit proposals in conformity with Credit Policy guidelines and requirements in liaison with the Relationship manager and maintain high standards of Credit Analysis.
    • Supporting the RM to achieve set income targets (interest income, fees and commissions).
    • Daily monitoring of accounts to ensure facilities are within the approved limits and advising the RM of all cheques that have overdrawn current accounts and pay the cheques where necessary.
    • Prepare daily excess monitoring report, monthly asset & income reports and other relevant reports for the portfolio.
    • Attend to Audit queries, perform snap checks monthly and ensure that any anomalies/exceptions are sorted out.
    • Assist Relationship Manager in containing interest expense.

    Minimum position requirements:
