    Payroll Accountant

    Our client, the region’s largest steel producer is looking to recruit a Payable Accountant to be based in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate MUST be a CPA (K) Finalist proficient in accounting systems and processes.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare monthly ageing analysis for Account Payable for the group of companies.
    • Submit analysis to the Finance Management team on a monthly basis.
    • Preparation of payments on basis of due suppliers and getting approval from FC/DFC for go ahead.
    • Checking of reconciliations for all the group of companies.
    • Reconcile creditor’s statements with the ledger to identify any variances.
    • Getting cheques to be written for all companies after approval from FC/DFC.
    • Follow up for creditor statements and missing invoices on monthly basis.
    • Follow up for credit notes from suppliers for disputed items and prices as well as wrong invoicing.
    • Ensuring cheques are collected by creditors.
    • Checking and reporting on daily outgoing cheques for creditors.
    • Responding to suppliers queries and follow up with them to ensure our ledgers are correct.
    • Annual audit preparation.
    • Any other work assigned by the Finance Management.

    Qualification:

    • Must have a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Degree or related field.
    • Must have a CPAK qualification.
    • Must have above 3 years’ experience in a busy working environment.
    • Must be detailed oriented and possess good communication skills.
    • Must be proficient in TALLY and/or SAP.

    Payroll Accountants

    Job Description

    Our client, the region’s largest steel producer is looking to recruit 2 Payroll Accountants to be based in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate MUST be a CPA (K) Finalist proficient in Endeavor Paymaster and/or TA Master Payroll systems.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare, analyze and implement payroll transactions on a timely manner.
    • Confirm manual attendance register vs biometric attendance register and reconcile.
    • Periodic physical counts/audit at the plants and any variances should be reported to superior.
    • Prepare and/or analyze periodic payroll reports, schedules and payroll related journal entries.
    • Analyze payroll reports, statements, records and making recommendations to improve payroll process.
    • Prepare and/or review the accuracy of payroll related journal entries and perform account reconciliation.
    • Prepares audit schedules and assists/coordinates audit of accounting statements/reports.
    • Coordinates with plants payroll accountant on issues affecting company payroll.
    • Prepare statutory statement e.g PAYE, NSSF and NHIF and reconcile.
    • Monthly payroll summary for all the plants and submit to Finance Controller.
    • Reconcile with signed pay sheet with weekly/ monthly payroll.
    • Any other duty is given by the management as and when required.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Degree or related field.
    • Must have a CPAK qualification.
    • Must have above 3 years’ experience in a busy working environment.
    • Must be detailed oriented and possess good communication skills.
    • Must possess strong systems aptitude in MS Office.

    Finance MIS Officer

    Job Description

    Our client, the region’s largest steel producer is looking to recruit a Finance MIS Officer to be based in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate MUST be a CPA (K) Finalist proficient in TALLY and/or SAP systems who will monitor, analyze and reconcile daily, weekly and monthly inventory movement in terms of finished goods, raw materials and semi-finished goods for the all the plants and in addition implement inventory control policies and procedures. The candidate MUST be fluent in spoken Hindi, Gujarati or Punjabi.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare, monitor and analyze MIS Reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities and budget.
    • Managing Inventory in all the Plants and ensuring integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
    • Review compiled inventory reports.
    • Managing excess and ageing stock-Negative inventory management.
    • Design & implement inventory control procedures and formulate SOP for the company’s Inventory Control.
    • Handle need and gap analysis and deploy data-based solutions to increase effectiveness. Investigate gaps and identifying the source.
    • Conducting surprise checks/Spot checking.
    • Ensuring timely clearance of GRN, outward, Materials issues to productions etc.
    • Reconcile production, sales and inventory in hand for all the finished goods on a monthly basis.
    • Imports raw materials stock takes and reconcile with the import files.
    • Any other duty assign by management on time to time basis.

    Qualification:

    • Must have a B.Com, M.Com, CPA or ACCA or in a related field.
    • Must have above 5 years’ experience in inventory controls or MIS reporting.
    • Must be fluent in spoken Gujarati, Punjabi or Hindi.
    • Working or Implementation Experience of SAP B1 will be an added advantage.
    • Strong systems aptitude in MS Office and Tally ERP 9.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in multi-task environment.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
