    Technical Sales Representative - Food ingredients

    He/She will be responsible for driving the sales, technical development and growth of the food ingredient division portfolio. He/She MUST have prior food ingredient expertise as well as field sales experience.

    Key Requirements:

    • Create enduring customer relationships through regular face to face contact with food manufacturing customers
    • Demonstrate a detailed technical understanding of company products and their application
    • Work collaboratively with the General Manager to create and drive profitable growth opportunities and achieve budgeted sales
    • Maintain personal product and application expertise through regular training and seminars
    • Cooperate with finance department to assure payments from customers are done within payment terms
    • Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategies for increasing market share
    • Support new product launches working together with suppliers’ technical team and influencing positively the relationship between the business and its suppliers
    • Sample management and drive follow-up process through
    • Continuously monitor market share by technology mapping and checking competition

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant tertiary education either in biochemistry, microbiology, food science or food technology is preferred
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Fluent in English
    • Sales experience is preferred
    • A background in food ingredients (e.g. emulsifiers, enzymes, stabilisers, cultures, proteins)
    • Valid driving license
    • The ability to travel extensively in the East Africa region

    Food & Beverage Manager

    The candidate will manage all F&B outlets, to ensure quality in service and product as well as maximizing profitability and productivity. The successful candidate MUST have relevant experience in a 5 star environment in a similar capacity. International Hotel Chain experience is an advantage.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that each outlet is accounted for separately as an individual profit center
    • Monitors service and food & beverage standards in all outlets and banquets
    • Acts as a Manager on duty when required
    • Monitors costs in conjunction with F&B Cost Controller
    • Meets with Purchasing and suppliers to learn of new products or methods
    • Checks stores for regular inventory check
    • Coordinates menu design, beverage pricing, and food promotions
    • Conducts department’s meeting to ensure smooth operation and management of the department
    • Participates and supports community projects or activities in order to promoting the hotel’s image and cooperation to improve community relationship
    • Provides and supports the most effective training to all staff regularly
    • Motivates staff to grow within the company
    • Interacts with clients, guests, government officials, supplies and other important individual in the community in promoting the hotel

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or relevant discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years F&B experience in a similar capacity in a 5 star environment
    • Good knowledge in the principles and practices within the F&B Hospitality profession
    • Excellent English communication skills both in written and spoken
    • Very good leadership skills
    • Computer literate
    • Possess professional disposition with excellent interpersonal skills

    PHP Developer

    A developer writes beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

    Key Requirements:

    • Proven software development experience in PHP
    • Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, ecommerce, etc.
